Pharmacology

Pharmacology is the study of drugs and their effects on human beings. It deals with how drugs modify tissue and organ functions and their uses in the treatment of diseases. Pharmacology is linked with both Biology and Chemistry and is perhaps the oldest branch of medical sciences.

Pathology

Microbiology is the study of disease processes. With the help of microscopes, Pathologists recognise the changes caused by diseases in the tissues and organs of the body. Pathological tests, help to diagnose diseases and establish the extent of involvement of the diseases in various organs.

Microbiology

Microbiology is the study of micro organisms or microbes. The microbes include Bacteria, Viruses, Fungi, Protozoans etc. Medical Microbiology investigates the role of these microscopic organisms in diseases. Bacteriology, Virology, Parasitology are the important subdivisions of Microbiology.

Forensic

Forensic &nbspMedicine is the study of all legal aspects of medical practice. The word 'Forensic' comes from the Latin word 'Forensis' meaning forums or 'Court of Law'. Forensic Medicine in effect, is the application of medical knowledge to aid in the administration of law and justice. Forensic Medicine also deals with medical jurisprudence and medical ethics which cover the legal and moral responsibilities of medical professionals.
